Old Works: SUPER SOLDIERS # 11 - Cover & Pages

 



             Here you can see a selection of storyboards from episode #11 of the Super Soldiers series that I drew for Marvel UK in the early 90s.

          For this 11th episode I was commissioned to do the cover. Here are the three sketches I created, the first one at the top of this post. The version approved by Marvel UK is the last sketch, below. Unfortunately, the series was canceled, so episodes 9, 10, and 11 were never published, although I was paid for all the work.

           Aquí podéis ver una selección de storyboards del episodio # 11 de la serie Super Soldiers  que dibujé para Marvel UK a principios de los 90.

          Para éste episodio 11 me encargaron la portada. Aquí tenéis los 3 bocetos que hice, el primero en el encabezamiento de ésta entrada. La versión aprobada por Marvel UK es el último sketch, aquí debajo. Desgraciadamente la serie fué cancelada, por lo que los episodios 9, 10 y 11 nunca llegaron a publicarse aunque cobré todo el trabajo realizado.

Old Works: SUPER SOLDIERS # 8 - Pages

 


            Here you can see a selection of pages from episode #8 of the Super Soldiers series, the first of four episodes I drew for Marvel UK, but only this episode was published. You can see the storyboard, the final black and white page (not my ink), and the coloring, in the style of what Marvel did in the early 90s.

Podéis ver el storyboard, la página blanco y negro final (el entintado no es mío) y el color, al estilo de lo que se hacía en Marvel a principios de los 90.

Old Works: SUPER SOLDIERS - Character Concepts

 



               And here you can see, in this recently scanned version, the character designs for the four episodes of the Super Soldiers series I drew for Marvel UK in 1993. It was a very special job, where I adapted to drawing superheroes, something I had never done professionally until then. In the following posts, I'll show you a selection of the storyboards and pages from these four episodes.

         Y aquí podéis ver, en ésta versión recientemente escaneada, los diseños para los personajes protagonistas de los cuatro episodios de la serie Super Soldiers que dibujé para Marvel UK en 1993. Fué un trabajo muy especial, donde me adapté a dibujar superhéroes, algo que nunca había hacho profesionalmente hasta entonces. En las siguientes entradas os mostraré una selección de los storyboards y páginas de estos cuatro episodios.
