ITHAQUA - Backgrounds Concepts

     Some pencil drawings research for the decoration of a Fort set in Canada at the time of the French & Indian War around 1754. 

    These drawings belong to a project entitled ITHAQUA, created a few years ago for the Franco-Belgian market and for which the publisher has not yet found.

     Estos dibujos pertenecen a un proyecto titulado ITHAQUA, creado hace unos años para mercado franco-belga y para el que aún no ha encontrado editor.

Old Stuff: RED SONJA Drawings

       Here are several recent drawings of Red Sonja, one of my favorite Comics characters. 
       These original drawings have been sold in the Dutch festival Gorinchem, where I have been recently.

        Aquí tenéis varios dibujos de Red Sonja, uno de mis personajes favoritos de los cómics americanos.
       Estos originales los he vendido en el festival holandés de Gorinchem, donde he estado recientemente.
       

GAME OF THRONES Cover: Color Step by Step !

         I present here the color final version of my cover GAME OF THRONES with Jaime Lannister & the Lions !

         The color has been done by Nuria Sayago. 

   And this cover is part of the GAME OF THRONES Hardcover Collection of my Dutch publishers DARK DRAGON BOOKS.

GAME OF THRONES Cover: B&W Pencil !

  This is the final pencil version, before color. 
  I show here the two stages of construction and completion of the cover.

  As you can see, compared to the preliminary sketches, I have greatly improved the position and gesture of Jaime Lannister

  As I explained in the previous post, the color will my colorist Nuria Sayago, also is a big fan of "Game of Thrones".

  This cover is part of GAME OF THRONES Hardcover Collection of my Dutch publishers Dark Dragon Books.

GAME OF THRONES Cover : Roughs !

          Here I present the Step by Step of the preliminary drawings for the cover I'm doing for GAME OF THRONES Hardcover Collection of my Dutch publishers Dark Dragon Books. 

          I have chosen Jaime Lannister as the protagonist of my cover, because it's one of my favorite characters from GoT.

          Here you can follow step by step of the pencil drawing sketches in this set where I play with the symmetry of the Lannister lions on either side of the central image (Jaime).



           STEP 1: We will put everything in place and draw the lion's head in the center of the stone wall.

                                  STEP 2: I work on Jaime Lannister with a hard lead pencil.

                                                  STEP 3: ... and the two lions !

                                            STEP 4: Pencil sketch finished... mmmhhh....

            STEP 5: I add these touches in red, so that the colorist can understand that the image is going to be bloody (as it should!).

    STEP 6: Finally. I think I'll change the figure of Jaime Lannister by this one that I think will give the character a more arrogant air.

    I'll integrate this second drawing in the final composition for the cover, which you will see in an upcoming post.
