Old Works: MARVEL Character Training (2)

 

            

          More recently scanned older material: More preparatory tests from 1992-93 prior to working on the Marvel UK Super Soldiers series. This training work allowed my drawing to adapt to the style of the best Marvel artists of that time.

           Más material antiguo recientemente escaneado: Más de los tests preparatorios de 1992-93 previos a trabajar en la serie Super Soldiers de Marvel UK. Éste trabajo de entrenamiento permitió que mi dibujo se adaptase al estilo de los mejores artistas Marvel de aquella época.

Old Works: MARVEL Character Training (1)

 

          For a few months now, I've been recovering more old material that I'd never digitally scanned before. All of this material I'm presenting here dates back to 1992. It was a training period for adapting my style to that of the best Marvel Comics artists of that era, in preparation for working on Marvel UK's Super Soldiers series. So the influences are evident. It was also very useful for improving the definition of my pencil drawings, allowing them to be inked with quality by Marvel's inking specialists. 

       Here you can see tests for expressions, faces, and movements following the Marvel style of the early 90s.

        Desde hace unos meses he estado recuperando más material antiguo que nuneca había escaneado digtalmente. Todo éste material que os presento aquí corresponde al año 1992. Fué una etapa de entrenamiento para adaptar mi estilo al de los mejores artistas de Marvel Comics de esa época, como preparación previa a trabajar para la serie Super Soldiers de Marvel UK. Así que las influencias son evidentes. También me resultó muy útil para mejorar la definición de mi dibujo a lápiz, para ser entintado con calidad por especialistas entintadores de Marvel.

        Aquí podeís ver pruebas para expresiones, caras y movimientos siguiendo el estilo Marvel de principios de los 90.

                  Os presento unas dedicatorias muy especiales hechas en varios libros míos para mi amiga Nieves G. Briones, una artista polifacética que os quiero presentar aquí.

             Nieves es escritora de las novelas Orquídeas para Perséfone y La Cruz y el Cerdo y directora de la Colección Puño Sucio de Ediciones Vernacci. Ha creado junto a Toni López el proyecto Lux Ferre Audios, orientado al audio-relato, donde dirige los programas Cinesfera y Momentos Eróticos 2 rombos y participa en el programa Martes de Terror.

                 Some very special dedications recently made on copies of my artbooks The Super Villains & Legendary Heroes and other books of mine.            

       

          

            This Harley Quinn made in a copy of The Super Villains Classic Edition and this Catwoman made in a copy of The Super Villains Limited Edition are for the artist Cris Ortega, who has done the coloring of both illustrations.

             This drawing of Grogu made on a copy of Legendary Heroes Classic Edition is for Nuria Sayago, another color artist who works with me. Nuria has a long career as a colorist in the Franco-Belgian market. Below you can see the series she has worked on:
